New Delhi to Singapore

Travel from New Delhi past the Taj and across the sacred Ganges to Bangladash and into Mynamar. Visit Mandalay and the historic temples of Bagan then get an over night ferry from Patein to Yanggon. From here continue past the balancing boulder stupa and continue down the coast.Enter into Thailand at the 3 pagoda pass and cross the bridge on the River Kwai continuing onto Bangkok. From here we travel down either the west coast or east coast of Thailand which offers plenty of stunning beaches. We enter Malaysia and pass through Kuala Lumpur where we can visit the Batu caves. Our final stretch takes to Melaka. We end our journey in Singapore where old meets new and est meets west. Singapore is also the most southernly point of the Asian mainland. It would be appropriate to toast our accomplishment with a Singapore sling at the timeless Raffles hotel.

What about Burma? Would there be a problem getting in? Should we even consider biking there considering the political situation?

You do realise, I hope, that you will not be allowed into Myanmar? The border crossings are all closed. No exceptions. You'll have to go around Myanmar, either taking a boat (if you can find one) from Bangladesh to Thailand, or going through China, but that entails Himalayas. I'd say that this trip is impossible in the current political climate in Myanmar.

3 pagoda pass a NO NO as a land border crossing. crossing the bridge over the river kwai would be an issue too as it is a railtrack. Please be aware that border crossing on the east side of Thailand into malaysia is a risky affair! separatist attacks happen nearly on a daily basis there! tour sounds nice though and sure would make a great adventure on a slight different itineray.

The only way I know to cycle between these two points is:
Singapore, Thailand, North Laos, China (Yunnan, Tibet), Nepal, India.
It would be near impossible at the moment to go in the other direction due to Tibet/China visa issues.
