A five week tour that begins in the most romantic cities of them all Venice, Italy continues across the foothills of Italian Alps, to the Mediterranean Sea, passing through glamorous city/state of Monaco, a fantasy land of perfectly groomed streets, lush gardens, chic boutiques and opulent 19th century pleasures palaces. Then into France and along the Cote d'Azur through Nice the capital of the French Riviera, to Cannes the home of the most famous film festival in the world, on to St. Tropez the playground of the rich and famous, stopping for a meal in one of the Michelin ranked restaurant and cutting through the Province into France second largest city, Marseille a cosmopolitan city full of character. Continuing along the coast into Spain and the city of Barcelona, sometime called pleasure of the senses. From there across the countryside we head towards beguiling Madrid and ending in Portugal's star attraction Lisbon, the city of seven hills on the Atlantic ocean.

I don't know. Should we? I think hotels would be better.

Camping would be fine with some hotels thrown in every 5 days or so.

I like the route, but would prefer hotels. Camping is also fine if we have hotels at least every 3-4 days.

Would be ideal if we could start early enough to finish by Aug 4 - need to be in San Diego for a yoga teacher training on the 6th! If we can do that, I'm all go! And I'm with Barry on the hotels every 3-4 days. A girl likes to shower and sleep in clean sheets! It's Europe, afterall. No need to forego all benefits of civilisation.

Hi there,
I like the idea of this trip and love to be part of it! Since I know most of the itinerary from previous trips, I would love to part of the crew assisting, but also biking? Is this a possibility?
